Please note that the closing of the Museum & Library for electrical upgrades has been rescheduled for December 31 to January 14, 2015.
Email access during that period will be limited, so please be patient if we are unable to respond to your inquiry until after January 14. We apologize for the inconvenience.
The Library is responsible for all two-dimensional items in the Museum's
collection: books, pamphlets, letters, diaries, personal papers, organizational & business records
, periodicals, newspapers
, scrapbooks, photographs
, prints, drawings, posters, maps, atlases,
microfilms, and even some DVDs.
We have major collections on the Holland Land Company, Millard Fillmore, Seneca Indians, the Pan-American Exposition, the Larkin Company, and much more. A new collecting initiative is our Newlywed Project.
If your roots are in Western New York, our genealogical resources may help you find them. We are the leading destination for Buffalo house history researchers. We have a special introduction for first-time visitors. We welcome you to discover us.
